Microsoft (MSFT) will embed Anthropic’s Claude Mythos Preview into its Security Development Lifecycle (SDL), marking a strategic shift in vulnerability detection. The AI model, unveiled April 7, has already identified thousands of critical flaws across operating systems and web browsers during preliminary testing.

The integration aligns with Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, a controlled initiative involving Amazon and Apple. Microsoft’s internal benchmarks show Mythos outperforming previous models in vulnerability scanning—a capability governments and central banks are urgently evaluating given its potential to both prevent and accelerate sophisticated cyberattacks.

A multi-model AI scanning solution leveraging Mythos is slated for June preview. The move reflects growing enterprise demand for AI-powered security tools as digital asset infrastructure becomes increasingly targeted.
